The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite things I’ve done involved a 6 year old boy and an 8 year old boy. They were very rowdy and it was always difficult for their mom to put them to sleep. One night, they were playing in their bunk beds when they were supposed to be sleeping, so I went in and asked if they’d like to do something real fast before they went to bed. We went into the living room and i brought out supplies to create little stuffed animals. As I was gluing the parts together, I had them add some glitter inside, and told them that these little animals would help them fall sleep if they slept with it in their beds. I tucked them back into bed and gave them each their stuffed animals, and they fell asleep 10 minutes later. Ever since then, every time I gave them their stuffed animals at night, they had no issue falling asleep.
