More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have always worked with children. I started as a gymnast coach for ages 6 months to 12 years old. I have been a lifeguard for 3 years. Babysat every summer throughout high school ages 5 & 11. I was also in charge of hosting my highschools pee-wee cheer camp ages 4-12yrs where they were taught 2 cheers, a chant & dance.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some indoor activities I enjoy doing with children are baking, mani-pedis (girls), watching movies, painting/coloring, or just playing whatever games they want to play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important thing about being a nanny is the ability to balance safety with fun. Making sure someone's child(ren) is out of harm's way while also wanting to satisfy a child's happiness is what I consider most important.

My experience with special needs children...

I am most familiar with children diagnosed with Autism or Down Syndrome. My cousin was diagnosed at a late age with autism and throughout my early school years I volunteered with The Miracle League which is a non-profit organization that allows children with disabilities to play baseball.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is more of a core memory. While I consecutively babysat 2 boys throughout high school, they'd always ask for me to bring breakfast and the times I would follow through, they'd be asleep. Granted I did arrive at 7:00 a.m. but I just thought it was silly each time they'd ask, I knew they wouldn't be awake. But the excitement of a McDonald's hotcake platter in the fridge waiting for them was too sentimental to not see again.
