A little bit about me

My name is Abby and I am a student who is currently taking time off from college and would love the opportunity to nanny for a loving family while I'm navigating my next steps! I’ve loved working with kids my whole life! I started as a counselor in training at the JCYS when I was in 6th grade and continued spending my summers there on and off as a full-time counselor for 1.5-5 year olds. That is where I really learned to understand the different developmental stages. I've been a date night babysitter and took a class called pre school lab where I learned to teach and taught lessons to a group of preschool age kids. I ran cross country/track for 4 years so I love being active and am pursuing a career in a creative field so I enjoy all sorts of creative-based activities as well! I also love being outside in nature, which is why I spent the last two summers working in a national park! My goal when babysitting is to provide a safe and fun environment where the kids feel understood.
