I previously worked at MyGym Children's Fitness Center. We prioritized creating a fun and safe environment for kids to explore physical activity. For example, you might lead a class where children participate in games that promote teamwork and coordination, like obstacle courses or relay races. You’d also encourage them to try new activities, helping them build confidence and develop their motor skills. Plus, you’d get to interact with parents, sharing the kids' progress and celebrating their achievements, which adds to the overall positive atmosphere of the gym!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I, myself am extremely active and have a hard time staying stagnant. I’d love to keep the kids engaged with a mix of fun activities! We could do nature scavenger hunts to explore the outdoors, arts and crafts, and even some cooking together, like making homemade pizza or cookies. I’d also read stories and do puppet shows, play outdoor games like tag or soccer, and try out some simple science experiments, like making slime. Plus, we could do silly things like have dance parties to get some energy out! I want to make sure they have a blast while learning and growing!

The most important part about being a nanny is really about creating a safe and loving space for the kids. It’s all about making sure they feel comfortable and secure while also having fun and learning. Building a good relationship with both the kids and their parents is key, so everyone feels connected and on the same page. I think it’s super important to pay attention to each child’s unique needs and interests, so I can plan activities that they’ll genuinely enjoy and benefit from. Plus, keeping communication open with the parents about how things are going helps build trust and makes sure we’re all working together for the kids’ best interests.
