Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was working at a daycare, I was there for a year! October 2020-October 2021! I worked with the toddlers, ages 1-2, but I have worked in the infants, and preschool rooms as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a child at heart. I love outside, in the warm weather I love to go on walks, play with chalk, have little picnics, and so many other fun activities. In the winter I love the make snowmen, make ice cream from snow, make snow cones, ice skating!! or any other fun winter activities. I love fun trips, like the zoo or parks. I love to paint or draw as well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating relationships with not only the children, but with the parents as well. It’s important to feel comfortable with the parents of the children, as well as them feeling comfortable with me. I have been so lucky to have babysat for families that have always been so open and welcoming.
My experience with special needs children...
My mom has worked with special needs children for many years. I would go visit her at school occasionally and I would get to work and spend the day with them. At the daycare I am at now, I have also worked with a few special needs children as well, like feeding, changing, naps and teaching.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My absolute favorite nanny moment is when I show up to the family’s home and the kids see me and yell my name and run and give me hugs. It makes me so happy knowing how much of a good impact I am having on them.
