Hi! I am a 22 year old student studying social work at MBU, with the educational focus of children and youth. I am looking for part time work as a nanny. I have been in childcare positions ever since I started working many years ago - from babysitting, to daycare teaching, and am currently also employed in a direct care role at a pediatric mental health facility. I am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified, and have immense training in childhood development, behavior, safety, trauma informed care, and caring for children with special needs.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a babysitter for several families since I was 16, I spent two years as a Pre-K aid and another two years as Two's Teacher at a local daycare, and am currently employed in a pediatric mental health position/direct care position for children and adolescents aged 3-17.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy lots of art and crafts (painting, drawing, clay modeling, etc.), experimenting with music, sensory time, reading stories, playing outside and indoors - and anything that nurtures creativity and imagination in children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is the ability to form a connection with the child/children where they feel safe, comfortable, cared for, and being able to have fun, express themselves, and explore their imagination and creativity. It is also just as important for the parents to have a nanny they know they can trust and depend on, and know their kiddos are in good hands.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, children and adolescents who are non-verbal, children and adolescents with developmental delays, and children and adolescents with physical or intellectual disabilities.
