I’ve been caring for children since I was 7 years old, starting with my own younger brother as a baby. Over the years, I’ve helped raise two more siblings, handling everything from diaper changes and bottle feedings to homework help and bedtime routines. In addition to family, I’ve also looked after a few neighborhood children ages 2 to 9 during weekends and summer breaks. I’ve supervised playdates, meal preps, and light household chores while keeping the kids engaged and safe. Every experience has taught me more about patience, multitasking, and how to adjust my approach based on each child’s personality.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging in activities that keep kids curious, creative, and active. Drawing and reading are some of my favorites, they help children express themselves while also building focus and imagination. I also enjoy doing mind games or little puzzles that challenge their thinking in fun ways, like memory games or scavenger hunts around the house. Dancing is another go-to! it’s silly, free, and it brings out the pure joy that kids naturally have. Being around children reminds me to stay playful, and I enjoy giving them a safe space where their innocence and imagination are encouraged.

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a genuine bond with the child. When kids feel safe, understood, and comfortable with their caregiver, everything becomes smoother from playtime to bedtime. I focus on creating a connection where the child feels heard and cared for, because I believe emotional security is just as important as physical care.
