More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve done volunteer work as young as 18 in my Grandmother’s daycare before she retired, and then continued on to work in ECE centers, daycares and private schools. Ive also been a Nanny and a babysitter (depending on your needed level of care, I do not use the terms interchangeably) for various families over the years, both long term and short.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to get creative! Learning can be so fun when you know what you’re doing! I love to engage with the children in physical activities like yoga and exercise, sports and experiments, and I also love to play games and plan activities that stimulate the brain and help promote a healthy environment for children to excel in developmentally!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is to remember: You're here to help. Every family is unique, and every child is unique! To be a Nanny means to open your heart and mind up to a family and their routines, needs, concerns and habits. A Nanny must be firm, but flexible. Clear, and understanding, but must maintain healthy boundaries.

My experience with special needs children...

I have 5 years of experience with Special Needs children, ranging from ASD, ODD, ADHD, and more. I have worked with children who are physically disabled and need varying levels of care including but not limited to a feeding tube, dietary restrictions, Celiac’s Disease, a wheelchair during outdoor play, and more. If your child needs a specific type of care and accommodation, I’m more than willing to work out a care plan that best suits you and your child’s needs! With Ms. A, EVERYONE is included!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite Nanny moment is actually torn! It’s either between:
A) The time I Nannied for a couple during a wedding, and ‘drove’ the two girls in their stroller around the large hotel room like a ‘bus’ and we played bus driver and road trip!
Or!
B) The very first time I Nannied for one of my preschool students (that I still Nanny for to this day!) and we played hide & seek with her dog, and made artwork for when her parents came home! We even made a pillow fort!
