The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is the connection you make with the child/children. As a teenager, working her way to college and learning the fundamentals of life has taught me so much about life. In addition to this, nurturing is essentially for babysitting. The idea of nurturing a child is at the heart of a nanny's role. Being able to connect on a deep level, and building a safe, loving environment are all the important elements of nurturing a child. And I believe being a mature teenager I can build a strong connection with children as I am a straight student, active in clubs, and a leader to other people my age.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A favorite moment of mine when working with children was when I was volunteering for Riverfest 2022 face painting. There were only three options: a flower, a butterfly, and a bee. Later, kids began to ask for more difficult paintings. A little boy wanted a batman figure. And as for me being artistic, I wanted to make him happy. During the process of sketching, I used my phone as a guide. My phone frequently kept turning off. But the little boy helped me keep my phone on by tapping the screen, without me even asking! This was my "aww" moment.
