I have volunteered at church with toddlers. I have also volunteered at a therapeutic riding farm with kids. for 2 1/2 years. And have volunteered at a retirement home.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny/ babysitter is one helping the family. I also love the kids. I really can't find the words on how much I enjoy babysitting it makes my heart so full. I love that I can help mom and dad while hanging out and watching kids.
My experience with special needs children...
As needed I babysit for a family who has a wonderful little down syndrome girl who is non verbal. For that same family the little boy is also non verbal too.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite babysitting moment was when I was babysitting for a new family. Me and the little boy were on the couch and he grab my hand and held it right by his face for at least 10 mins.
