Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked with children on the spectrum aged 2-7 years old. I can change diapers, potty train, teach them fine motor skills, language and social play. I am CPR/ First-Aid Certified. I work best with kids aged 4-10!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
It usually depends on the kids. I love setting up treasure hunt games, science experiments, mini competitions and arts and crafts!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think it's really important for nannies to not just be friendly and loving to the kiddos but also be very respectful to the family traditions/ religious aspect of a family should they have any. I know parents have a certain way of parenting their kids so it's really important to make sure everything is consistent. I usually sit down with the parents to manage expectations and talk about specific rules in the household.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked as an ABA therapist for special needs children aged 2-7. I am safety-care trained (I am trained to handle aggression/ tantrums safely), and have worked with a variety of clients ranging in different developments. I can work around their specific routines. I also have experience in communication devices since i have a lot of non-verbal clients with me too!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favourite nanny moment would always be looking at the kiddos face while they eat after a full day of work and play! I can cook too so it feels so much better when they enjoy the food that I make!
