More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of experience caring for children of various ages, from toddlers to school-aged kids. My work includes full-time, part-time, and on-call nannying for multiple families, where I’ve supported daily routines such as school drop-off and pickup, homework help, meal prep, housework, playtime, and bedtime.
I’ve also provided summer care, planned creative and engaging activities, and helped with light household tasks and pet care. My flexible and calm approach allows me to adapt easily to different family dynamics, and my background in education helps me support children’s development in fun and meaningful ways.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love filling our days with hands-on, engaging activities. My background as an art teacher means we do a lot of process art—experimenting with different materials just to see what we can create. I’m a big believer in getting outside daily, whether we are going on a nature scavenger hunt, looking for bugs, or just reading under a tree. Indoors, I actively participate in their world. I’m always game to be a customer in a pretend restaurant, help engineer sprawling Lego cities, or do all the character voices during storytime. When we need to transition to quiet time, I incorporate kid-friendly yoga and simple breathing exercises to help everyone reset. I also love getting kids involved in the kitchen to make snacks together—embracing the occasional mess as part of the fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting, nurturing relationship where children feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves as they grow and learn.
My experience with special needs children...
I strive to be an inclusive and adaptable caregiver. In addition to my classroom and nanny experience, I have also worked as a private art tutor for a neurodivergent pre-teen. Working one-on-one with an autistic student taught me how to beautifully adapt activities, communicate clearly, and tailor my approach to meet a child's unique sensory and learning needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One summer, I was watching these three siblings and turned their living room into this totally unplanned "art camp." We hung a bedsheet as our "studio curtain," made glittery name badges, and started each day with our increasingly ridiculous made-up camp song.
We had the wildest themes - painting upside-down under the coffee table, creating tiny masterpieces on bottle caps, and building sculpture gardens from found objects and recycled materials.
On our last day, the oldest girl, who wasn't usually one for sentimentality, looked up while we were cleaning paintbrushes and said, "I didn't know summer could be this fun without going anywhere."
That moment sticks with me. In all the chaos of glitter-covered everything and paint-splattered floors, she found something meaningful in our everyday creativity. It's those simple, genuine connections that make this work matter.
