More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I I grew up in a large family and have been the go-to babysitter for as long as I can remember, which I absolutely love. There’s something special about how children have a way of bringing out the inner child in you. I help care for my three nieces—ages 7 months, 4 years, and 10 years old—and I also support my mom in looking after my youngest sister, who’s now 13. In addition to family care, I’ve spent several summers working with kids through various summer camps, which has given me experience with a wide range of age groups.

Throughout middle and high school, I also worked alongside my mom as a home health aide, where I handled housekeeping and meal prep for elderly clients. So, if the need arises, I’m more than happy to provide those services as well.

I believe in creating fun, enriching experiences that are both enjoyable and educational for the children I care for. I love engaging them in a variety of activities that stimulate creativity and learning, such as crafting, reading/creating stories, or exploring nature on walks. I also enjoy planning interactive games that promote teamwork, problem-solving, and physical activity, like scavenger hunts or outdoor sports. My goal for all activities is to help the children grow, whether that’s building their confidence, encouraging curiosity, or simply having fun while learning new skills.

The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting, nurturing relationship with the children and their family. As a nanny, you’re not just responsible for care; you’re a role model and a source of stability, providing a safe, supportive environment where children feel valued, heard, and encouraged. It’s also crucial to be flexible, reliable, and communicative, ensuring that parents feel confident and at ease knowing their children are in good hands. Ultimately, creating a positive, engaging experience that fosters emotional, social, and intellectual growth is at the heart of being a great nanny.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments happened when me and the children I was caring for at the time were building a fort and suddenly, the oldest child, who can be a bit shy, started sharing stories about her day. As we added to the fort, she started opening up more and more, telling me about her school, her friends, and the things she loves. It was one of those rare, beautiful moments where you realize how much trust and connection you’ve built. The kids and I ended up spending hours in that fort, laughing and playing. It reminded me how important it is to create a space where children feel safe and comfortable enough to express themselves. That moment truly reinforced why I love being a nanny.
