The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the child or children feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I think it’s important to be patient, responsible, and understanding while also making sure the child has fun and feels like they can be themselves around you. I also believe being someone the parents can trust is really important.

I have experience caring for a family member who is autistic and whom I live with. I regularly babysit and help care for her, so I’m familiar with being patient, attentive, understanding, and making sure she feels safe and comfortable. This experience has taught me the importance of paying attention to a child’s individual needs, routines, and personality.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was babysitting my younger family members and spending the day doing things they enjoyed. We colored, played, watched movies, and just had fun together.
