It’s a balance between being fun and playful, while also setting boundaries and providing structure when needed. In the end, it’s all about making the child feel loved and supported while helping them learn and grow in a positive, enriching environment.

My experience with special needs children...

Autism, physical disabilities. One of my siblings is in a wheelchair. Growing up caring for her is definitely done different from others. I have couple cousins who are autistic and so patient is the number one thing! And the ability to communicate with not always using words

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was with a little boy who was learning how to write his name. He was very focused, trying to spell out each letter. After a few minutes, he stopped and looked at me with a big frown. I asked, “What’s wrong?”

He sighed and said, “I just don’t get it. Why does my name have so many letters? I mean, I only have one body!”

I couldn’t help but laugh at his deep philosophical take on names. Kids have the best perspective on the world!
