More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I took childcare classes in HS while working at the school daycare. I went through college courses to get my CDA (child development associate). I also worked at a daycare for 6 years working with kids from 6mo- 10yrs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love building blocks and legos. You can use them in so many ways. I love any and all outdoor activities. I LOVE to read books and color with kids too. Seeing kids imagination just spark when giving them a crayon is incredible.

My experience with special needs children...

I haven’t had TONS of experience with special needs kids but I am willing to learn and accommodate. I have worked with about 3 at my previous daycare job.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have 2 favorite nanny moments. The first favorite moment being when I walk through the door and seeing the child light up because i’ve arrived feels so rewarding. My second favorite moment would be bedtime. NOT because they are going to sleep but because they are so pure and loving in those few minutes before falling asleep. Just getting that one on one time with them right before be and getting to talk to them about what happened in their day is so heartwarming and comforting. The feeling of knowing they feel safe and comfortable enough to fall asleep with someone other than their parents is a feeling so precious.
