A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Aleesha Stephen. 🙂 I’ve lived in Carbondale, PA for a year. I’ve been a nanny to two high school girls in the past. I enjoyed working as a nanny. It was one of my favorite jobs! I love children as well! There are many children in the 3 churches that my husband pastors and I love seeing them each week! They are such a blessing!!! ❤️ I’d love the opportunity to be a nanny again. I’m willing to comply with any expectations that the parents whom I will work for have of me. I live in a nice little apartment in Carbondale. I can bring the kids to my house and cook for them and feed them in my home if needed. I have no problem cooking. My husband and I love to cook and we eat very healthy food! We like to have vegetables and salad every day for lunch, along with rice & curry or noodles or something else, and I love to make “healthier”, guilt-free desserts. I hope that I will get along with the kids I nanny!!! I will definitely try to make friends with them. I’m excited!!!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a nanny for two teen-aged girls. It was one of my favorite jobs I’ve ever had!!! ❤️

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like going for walks by the river near my house, going to the park, playing board games or card games, doing crafts, watching moral and character-building shows, baking, teaching or tutoring them, playing guitar for them or teaching them how to play guitar, cooking for/with them (giving them something simple to help with if they want to), riding bikes (if they have one), coloring with them, making treats for them, taking them to the dollar store and/or the five below near my house, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is setting a good example for and being a good friend to the people in my care because whatever I allow myself to get away with, they may also feel entitled to get away with. Also, I believe it’s so important for our health to maintain good relationships with those in our lives and to show respect toward everyone and try to help others in whatever way we can. We can truly change people’s lives even by doing things that seem easy for us but are challenging for someone else.

My experience with special needs children...

I have never cared for someone with special needs, but when I was in high school, my mother worked with teenagers who had special needs and I would often observe her in her working environments, so I saw how she cared for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I enjoyed going out to eat with the two girls that were in my care! ❤️ It was such a special treat and it gave me the opportunity to bond with the girls I was nannying.
