A little bit about me

My name is Alexa and I am 21 years old. I am new to Fort Wayne and just finished my first year at Purdue Fort Wayne.

I grew up always being surrounded by younger kids which has fueled my love for hanging with kiddos!

My goal is to be an encouraging, dependable, supportive, patient, and compassionate nanny to both the parents and the children.

I am very flexible when it comes to hours and have no problem helping out on the weekends if needed!

I also have no problem organizing, cleaning up, or meal prepping for anyone in the family as I like to keep myself busy.

I would happily learn sign language, and/or get CPR certified

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

While in high school I nannied and babysat throughout all 4 years. The families i nannied for were either family or close family friends.
I babysat on the weekends or came weekly during the summer for those families.
During my nannying in the summer I would take the kiddos to swim lessons or baseball practice and play with them all day until their parents came home while maintaining a tidy home.

After high school I worked for a family business which didn’t allow me to have time to nanny as often. During the summers though, I would take my nephews to and from summer camp and pack their lunches during the weekdays.

I babysit often on the weekends for all ages, as I have a big family and understand that life can be very busy!!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Outdoor Activities I enjoy doing with children are hiking/walking, going to the park, going to museums or zoo, playing various sports and swimming.

Indoor activities I enjoy doing with children are reading, board games, teaching to make clean up enjoyable, sing/dance parties, movie watching, various arts and crafts, baking, and I also love to create spontaneous games.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is to create a great relationship with both the children and their parents.

I genuinely love the company of children.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have an abundance of experience with special needs children, but I am very open to learning. I was in a club in high school that helped create safe relationships for those with special needs.

I also have family experience with babysitting my nephew with ADHD and anxiety.
