I began babysitting at 13 years old after completion of a sponsored babysitting course. I babysat often on evenings and weekends throughout the years I was attending high school, college and graduate school. I was employed at a daycare facility for the 2006-2007 school year. I worked full-time in the pre-kindergarten room as the lead teacher for 18 children age 3-5 years old. At the daycare, my responsibilities included preparing the children for elementary school by developing skills in a wide range of areas including; reading, writing, problem-solving, and manipulative progress. I was also responsible for developing daily curriculum plans that included; language arts, math, science, and art, as well as exercises designed to enhance cognitive and self-discipline skills. The summer of 2007, I worked as a nanny for a family of 2 boys, age 11 and 8 years old. With the summer nanny position, my responsibilities included constant supervision of the children, transportation to and from all activities and play dates, preparing and serving breakfast and lunch and washing dishes. I also planned each day out so that the children were engaged both mentally and physically. I then worked with a family of two girls, age 3 and 5. I was with this family for 10 months and enjoyed my time with them but, due to a retirement in the family, they no longer required my services. After nannying for this family, I nannied during the summer of 2008 (and again May-July 2009). During that time, I was responsible for a 6-month-old boy and 3-year-old girl. During the 2008-2009 school year, I worked at an elementary school covering maternity leaves in a first, third and fourth grade classroom throughout the year. For the last 2 years I worked with a family with 2 children. When I began, the first child was 3 months old and I have been responsible for her full daily care including meals, participation in daily activities/classes throughout the community, etc. In August 2011, a second child join the family and I began caring for her immediately, in addition to the 2.5-year-old. Currently, I nanny for an infant and began when she was just 8 weeks old. I am responsible for her full daily care, including feeding, diapering, constant supervision, tummy time, participation in community activities such as Gymboree and library storytime. This family will be moving June 2013 and at that time, I will be looking for a new family to nanny for. I am open to a part or full-time position. I am more than happy to email my resume and/or letters of recommendation, if you are interested in learning more about my qualifications.

I've always had a passion for children and have always done well while having them under my care. I see myself as a kid at heart so I get along with all ages but can also have them follow the rules! Two summers ago my first nanny job for three boys (one had ADD) and I feel that they had a great summer. I got a lot of good experience and hope to continue to nanny in the future!

I have been working with children for over 15 years. My first experiences were baby-sitting and teaching Sunday school.
