A little bit about me

My love for caring for children came in my high school years as a babysitter and then becoming an aunt to twin boys and a girl. Then I began post college grad as a full time nanny and have been full time for 3+ years I feel confident this is the career for me. I feel fulfilled going into work everyday taking care of my little besties.

I always make sure that the children feel comfortable. I love to engage in developmental appropriate activities, do crafts, play games, explore outside, plan fun outings and most of all create amazing bonds. The kids I have nannied before felt as though they were my own. I believe the relationships children build with other adult figures is very important. I want to be able to provide parents with comfort and security of having someone trustworthy watching their little ones.

In my free time I love to play with my golden retriever, hike with my husband, explore new places around the community, travel, shop and spend time with those I love most.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in the daycare at my community college for a couple months before it got shut down due to COVID specifically in the infant toddler room.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to get out with the children whether that be a play space, park, library, aquarium, walk around the neighborhood etc. When at home I love to engage children in whatever activities they enjoy most. For the littles I will do lots of story time and music. For the school aged children I love to do arts and crafts, play games etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the relationships children build with other adult figures is very important. I want to be able to provide parents with comfort and security of having someone trustworthy watching their little ones. The kids I have nannied before felt as though they were my own. I think it’s very important for a nanny to provide that clam and peaceful presence in a time where their parents can’t be around. A nanny needs to be an excellent role model to the children. It’s important that the child has the same parenting style between both nanny and parents so I always ensure to get on the same page as parents and follow their expectations closely.

My experience with special needs children...

I have twin nephews with Fragile X which is similar to autism so I have experience with all of the things that could come up in children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve had a lot of great nanny moments. I think I truly know this is the career for me when you get those compliments from both the kids and their parents. The moment that sticks out to me the most is one of the boys I cared for would give me the biggest hug every single day at the end of my shift and make me feel so loved.
