Walking back home from the park when it began to rain, she was 6 and I was 16 when we spotted a kitten. Carried him in my hoodie, went home, and gave him a bath in the backyard sink. We were giggling and going back and forth trying to name the cat when we came up with Farty because that's how he smelled. Parents came home, made sure Farty had no fleas and by my next return, I was a baby and pet sitter!
