A little bit about me

Hello families! My name is Alison, and I have been working with children since I was a child myself! I completed a Red Cross Babysitter's course over 35 years ago and have been working consistently as a child care provider ever since. My experience ranges from occassional weekend babysitter, to full time nanny, to teacher in a day care setting, to residential camp counselor and includes ages birth through teen. My most valuable experience has been raising my beautiful son, who is now 25 years old. As a natural nurturer, I love working with children and feel that my skills of patience, creativity, organization and communication serve me well in the role. I love providing natural opportunities for child-directed learning in novel environments through daily outings to parks, libraries, museums and other child centered attractions.
