A little bit about me

My name Is Alissah Tehrani. I am a nursing student, currently finishing my BSN. Some major personality traits that I have are that I am a good listener, I love to make people laugh, I love hosting play dates and expanding my creativity through arts and crafts. I love to sing, paint and read. As a nursing student I have gained some skills such as organization, observation, communication. One of the great trait that I have is patience as I have gotten to deal with kids of all ages in the hospital and tend to their needs. I would love to continue being a caregiver to kids because I can bring those skills and personality traits to light by helping them expand their creativity, provide them with an energetic and fun environment, and tends to their needs.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've had some experiences with children, such as taking care of them while I was a hospital clinical intern. I tend to their fundamental needs, which include eating, dressing, bathing, and doing assessments, which include taking their vital signs and evaluating them from head to toe to observe for any abnormalities. Other activities include artistic pursuits like sewing, playing games, singing, and studying the Bible. One event in which I participated was an Easter celebration that I organized for the kids in our town on my college campus, together with my staff. We assisted the kids with Easter egg hunts, coloring and painting, bunny dances, and Easter song instruction.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some activities that I enjoy doing with children involve anything as simple as drawing, singing, painting, dancing and exploring fun games. Other more complex activities may involve crafting such as making bracelets, necklaces and making shapes out of play-doh. I also like to do outdoor activities with them such as hopscotch, picnics, balloon play etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most crucial aspect of being a nanny is providing a loving, caring, and safe environment for kids so they may flourish. It involves more than just keeping an eye on them; it also entails setting a good example, fostering their growth, and developing a rapport of trust with the parents and kids. I am aware that every child is different and has different demands, which is why it's crucial to comprehend them in order to work with them. My objective is to make sure the kids make a meaningful contribution to the family's everyday lives and feel safe, happy, and appreciated.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A memorable moment I had with a kid was a dancing moment. I am a terrible dancer (at least I think I am) and I would always be hesitant to dance even if it is in front of kids. The kid I was nannying loved to dance and would not dance unless I danced with her. She offered to teach me some dance moves so I could know how to dance like her. We ended up creating a choreography together that we would dance each time I had to babysit her. She is a very smart girl who was able to help me get out of my shell and dance with no embarrassment. Today I have her to thank for willingly hosting dance parties with children.
