A little bit about me

I love kids! I’ve been a consistent caregiver and friend to several amazing children for the past 6 years. My friends and employers tell me I’m a very kind, creative, patient and thoughtful person who they can depend on. The kids I work with tell me I’m the “best babysitter/nanny in the world.” Your child’s health safety is of course always the number one priority. While tending to their moment to moment needs, I’ve mastered turning daily tasks and chores into fun games. I’m especially well versed in the area of tantrums, melt downs and general difficult behavior (hello pandemic era). Getting on a child’s level is 2nd nature to me. It’s important to me that they feel safe and that their big emotions are validated and their energy redirected. When I’m not building epic blanket forts and making voices for stuffed animals I’ll be relaxing at the beach, meditating, doing kundalini yoga, reading psychology books, or enjoying hikes with my boyfriend. Children are incredibly emotional beings. Aside from general safety, I feel the most important part of being in a child’s life is helping them to validate and eventually understand their own feelings and be able to communicate them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Surviving the summer in Ojai. One day we got so uncomfortably warm that we brought all the fans from the entire house into one room. We collected some peppermint from the garden and put it in ice water for each of us. While sipping on our cold beverages we sat in the middle of the fans, all surrounding us on full blast. We called it, The Fan Spa and laughed wildly.
