I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable to learn, grow, and be themselves. It’s not just about watching them — it’s about building trust, setting a positive example, and helping them develop emotionally and socially. Patience, consistency, and good communication are key because every child is different and needs to feel understood. To me, being a nanny means being someone a child can depend on, and someone parents can fully trust.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when I was helping a little girl I cared for learn how to ride her bike without training wheels. She had been nervous for weeks and kept saying she couldn’t do it. I spent time encouraging her, holding the back of her bike, and reminding her to believe in herself. The day she finally took off on her own, the smile on her face was priceless . she was so proud of herself, and I was just as proud watching her confidence grow. Moments like that remind me why I love working with children being able to support them, celebrate their milestones, and see them build confidence in themselves is truly the best feeling.
