A little bit about me

I have been nannying for almost almost 10 years! Certified CPR/first aid. Currently in medical school, learning how to be a pediatric nurse! I graduated from an arts high school as a vocal major, so introducing your child into something they love and helping them learn to express themselves through that is super important to me! My goal is to be as active in your child's life while also teaching them respect and responsibility for themselves and others around them. Being the oldest of 5 has taught how to be understanding and patient while they start to understand and grow into who they are. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a daycare teacher for 3 years. I volunteered for a geriatrics center for four years. I also worked as pediatrics nurse assistant in an intensive care facility! Currently in medical school!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy taking kids to the park or to the lake and keeping them active and alert! But also allowing them to occasionally have "lazy day's" and stay inside, not having to worry about anything, since I feel it is necessary to let them relax to not overstimulate them!

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important thing to being a nanny is being able to be a part of their development and watching them grow into their personalities and learning self respect! And making sure they know how important it is to be open and making sure they have a positive outlook. Mental health is important in child development and it's so significant that they are aware of that!

My experience with special needs children...

I have some family members who have autism and down syndrome, and spending quality time helped me learn about how to properly approach them and keep them comfortable :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when one of the girls I was babysitting felt comfortable enough to tell me something very personal and asked me to be there with her when she told her parents! Her parents informed that since I had started working for them their daughter had become way more sociable and open with her family. That moment encourages me to do better everyday!
