Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I always aim to keep children active and creative, whether that is making crafts, working on homework/reading, playing inside, playing in the yard, going on a walk around the neighborhood, going to a playground, or attending a children's activity/event in town.
My experience with special needs children...
For the last 8 months, I have been working with a family with three young children, two of which have special needs (ages 3 and 4). Both were fostered for adoption and have been diagnosed with fetal alcohol syndrome. As much as I love working with all little ones, I am especially drawn to these two. They have extra needs that I do my best to meet and exceed. While my work environment is sometimes chaotic, these children deserve to be loved and accepted.
