More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting for over eight years and have worked with children in a variety of settings. I spent several summers as a day camp counselor, helping plan activities and supervise groups of children throughout the day. I also coached youth field hockey throughout high school and college, teaching skills, teamwork, and confidence to young athletes. Most recently, I worked as a Medical Assistant in an orthopedic office where I occasionally interacted with pediatric patients and their families, helping children feel comfortable and supported during appointments.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping kids active and engaged. Some of my favorite activities include going to the park, taking walks, playing outdoor games and sports, doing arts and crafts, reading books, building with Legos, playing board games, baking simple treats, and exploring local museums, zoos, or other kid-friendly activities. I enjoy finding activities that match each child’s interests and personality.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is building trust with both the children and their parents. Every family has different values, routines, and expectations, and I think it’s important to respect those while creating a positive, supportive environment for the children. A great nanny balances having fun with maintaining structure, helping children feel safe, cared for, and encouraged while giving parents confidence that their children are in good hands.

My experience with special needs children...

In high school, I participated in a program called Wildkit Buddies, where students were paired with peers with special needs to build friendships and participate in activities together throughout the year. This experience taught me patience, empathy, adaptability, and the importance of creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don’t have one specific favorite moment, but what I love most about working with children is getting to bring out my inner child. Whether we’re playing games, running around at the park, doing crafts, or exploring a museum, I enjoy seeing the excitement and curiosity kids bring to everyday experiences. Watching them learn something new, gain confidence, or simply have fun is always rewarding.
