More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a lifeguard at a local country club for 4 years Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications. I also spent 4 summers working as a prep swimming coach at the same country club. We coached over 100 swimmers each year aged 3-10 daily throughout the summer teaching a range of basic lifesaving swimming skills to the development of efficient swim strokes. This gave me the opportunity to teach and bond with kids from a wide variety of backgrounds and with various temperaments all while they navigated daunting situations. I spent my past summer working in the Emergency Room at Parkview giving me extensive experience with first aid, and any number of different common ailments with children. However, with this summer being my last free summer, I am looking for a slightly less intense position.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I personally love to be outdoors. Whether this be via playing games, going for a hike, running, swimming, I enjoy it all. I’m still a child at heart and enjoy playing with kids and learning how to play all their favorite games.

My experience with special needs children...

I volunteered as a swim coach for the Special Olympics Swim Team locally during highschool, and now volunteer with the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati.
