More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I taught ages 6 weeks to 6 years in both a daycare setting for 4 years, and also those ages in swim lessons as well! I have done many church VBS programs, as well as watching kids during parents programs at the church! I taught Sunday school for 2 years every week. I have been working with kids for the past 10 years and absolutely love it!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I would love to be someone to help your kids with crafts, reading, and some housework! I love to be outside with children and talk about nature and go on walks! I enjoy helping kids learn independence through them accomplishing daily task (ie: tying shoes, making their bed, doing their hygiene routines, etc). I love to see children grow and become their own person!
The most important part about being a nanny...
When you work with children, you are helping that child form who they will be as a person. It takes lots of patience, kindness, and instructing, but every minute is worth it when you watch their personality form more and more each day!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children with autism, down syndrome, ADHD, and speech impediments. While working at the daycare, I received a lot of experience with all kinds of children and the ways that they work. Every child is different and needs a certain kind of love and attention that is catered to them!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My first full time nanny job was for an 8 year old boy named Cole and his 3 year old sister Sara. I had been teaching them swim lessons in the neighborhood pool for a few weeks and we hadn't made much progress, until one day they both were able to surpass my expectations! We were so happy and walked back to their house with ice cream from the local shop and the biggest smiles I had ever seen from them! I will never forget the look of joy and pride they had when their parents got home and they were able to tell them about their success!
