More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have over 3 years of hands-on experience working with children as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and previously as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). In these roles, I’ve supported children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities by implementing behavior intervention plans, teaching communication and daily living skills, and creating structured, nurturing environments tailored to each child’s needs. I’ve worked closely with families, therapists, and educators to ensure consistency and care across all settings. My experience has given me a deep understanding of neurodiversity and the importance of patience, adaptability, and empathy in caregiving.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in creative, active, and educational activities that match their interests and developmental levels. Some of my favorite things to do include sensory play, arts and crafts, outdoor walks, music and dancing, story time, and simple cooking or baking activities. I also enjoy practicing life skills through fun games and helping with homework when needed. Most importantly, I love creating moments that make children feel confident, included, and happy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel seen, heard, and valued. It’s about building trust not just with the child, but also with the family and being someone they can count on.
My experience with special needs children...
I have several years of experience working closely with children who have a range of special needs, including autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and sensory processing disorders. Through my work as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and Direct Support Professional (DSP), I’ve provided individualized support focused on communication, behavior management, emotional regulation, and life skills. I’m trained to use positive reinforcement strategies and adapt to each child’s unique learning style. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and empathy, and I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where every child can thrive at their own pace.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments as a nanny are when I can truly see the bond I’ve built with a child, like when they run up to me with excitement, ask for my help or comfort, or share a proud moment with me. Building that relationship based on trust, consistency, and care is the most meaningful part of being a nanny. Knowing I’m someone they feel safe with and look forward to seeing makes everything worth it.

I have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. I love being around, working with, teaching, playing with, taking care of children of all ages. I took early retirement but am no where near ready to "retire." My wife and I have always had dogs. Have CPR certification in past but not current. My son teaches CPR so can get that if required. I don't believe that "shame" is a concept that children need to ever experience. When I'm with children, I want them to experience the beauty that is inside them just waiting to be discovered.

I’m a career nanny looking for a new family to be a part of! After 4 years with my current family my services are no longer needed and I’m available full time. I’ve been employed full time as a nanny since 2018 and it’s my pleasure to be apart of children’s lives and become a friend to them over the years. I’ve worked with two families during my career. I completed Child Development Associates curriculum specializing in infant and toddler care.

I have pretty much been babysitting and nannying my whole life. I got safe sitter certified when I was 12 years old so I've been in the game a long time haha! I grew up in a family of 6 so I am used to all kinds of chaos, and I've pretty much been in every type of situation so I am sure I could handle just about anything! I can't wait to meet you!
