I use to work for a daycare/preschool as well as a lead teacher with head start program before going on maternity leave.

I love engaging kids in creative and hands-on activities- anything from crafts, storytelling and imaginative play to going outside. I believe kids thrive when they're given space to explore and express themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nursing space where a child feels seen and supported. That means respecting their needs, setting boundaries with kindness, and genuinely enjoying time with them. It's not just about supervision- it's about being present and helping them grown in confidence and joy. :)

My experience with special needs children...

I worked briefly with a child with autism, where I learned how to adapt routines, use clear communication, and stay attuned to sensory sensitivities. I've also worked with children who have behavioral needs, helping them navigate big emotions, & offering calm, consistent support. I understand the importance of patience, following care plans, and collaborating with parents to make sure the child feels safe and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It's hard to pick just one, but some of my favorite moments are when a child starts to feel comfortable around me-like when they run up excited to see me or want to show me something they made. I love being apart of their little routines, whether it's reading the same bedtime story for the fifth time or helping them build a block tower. Those everyday connections are what stick with me the most.
