I specialized in the "troubled children" so my favorite moments were when I was dealing with those "troubled children" and I would just sit with them and talk and these kids would become vulnerable with me and talk to me about what was going on. I realized that these "troubled children" Are usually just children who feel unheard or unseen. They're children who want more attention from their parents and want to feel more connection. I realized that these children ask for love in the most unloving ways and as a mom now, I remember whenever my daughter acts out, could I have been more reseptive to her emotions or to her needs? What could I have done to help her act better?
