Hi there! I’m so excited to present you with my story, experience, and qualifications! My name is Amanda and I’m excited to hear how I may be able to fulfil your childcare needs and hear more about what needs you and your family are looking to fulfil.

Throughout high school and college, I worked as an educator at a local daycare while babysitting on the weekends, occasional weeknights, and during school holidays. During college, I pursued a career in business as a Wedding and Event Coordinator. Over the past few years, I have discovered that my passion is to teach and care for children. I am currently sending out applications for Graduate School to obtain my Masters in Elementary Education with a PreK-4 Certification. I am very excited about this new step in my life.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Since 2010 I have I worked in two daycares, mainly in head teacher roles where I planned and implemented daily lesson plans while providing child care, maintaining safety, and a parent/teacher relationship. I have also interned at Camelot for Children and the Walt Disney Company in addition to babysitting, volunteering, and tutoring in College.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

There are so many wonderful things to fill a day but I enjoy the simple moments with children when we talk, read, or even arts and crafts.

My experience with special needs children...

During an internship with Camelot for Children, I supported the Assistant Director in the planning, organization, promotion, and implementation of monthly Events and Fundraisers while completing various office duties as required. During events, I interacted and engaged with the children and their families while participating in the activities we had planned.
