As a nanny, I love engaging children in activities that spark their creativity, curiosity, and confidence. I enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading books together, and creating fun learning moments through play. I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s going for walks, playing at the park, or exploring nature. I also enjoy sensory play, music and movement activities, building with blocks, and imaginative games that let kids express themselves. With older children, I like helping with homework, playing board games, or doing simple baking projects together. I always aim to create a balance of structure and fun, making sure the child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn and grow every day.

The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting, loving bond with both the child and their family. It’s more than just a job! it’s about becoming a reliable, nurturing presence in a child’s life and supporting their emotional, physical, and developmental growth every day. Children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and cared for, and as a nanny, I take that responsibility to heart. It also means being a strong communicator, respecting the family’s values and routines, and adapting as the child grows. At the end of the day, being a nanny means showing up with patience, consistency, and genuine love, knowing you’re helping shape a part of someone’s childhood.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was watching a toddler I cared for take her very first steps. We had been practicing every day! holding hands, cruising along furniture and then one afternoon, she just let go and walked straight into my arms with the biggest smile on her face. It was such a proud and emotional moment, not just for her but for me too, because I knew how hard she had worked to get there. Being able to cheer her on, celebrate that milestone, and know I played a small part in her growth reminded me exactly why I love what I do. Moments like that stay with you forever.
