The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part is being able to help parents live their lives and provide for their kids. My mom was a single mom growing up with 3 kids. She always had at least 2 different after school activities going on at the same time in 2 different places and I saw how she struggled with that. She gave us everything and I want to help others so they dont have to go through that without help.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not cared for any special needs children, but I am detail oriented and a quick learner. I am more than happy to learn and come prepared to adapt.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was with a 2 year old named Owen. We were playing outside in his backyard and I was helping him flip the turtle shell(the lid of the sandbox) off. When I reached down to grab the shell, I watch Owen as he mimics pulling his sleeves down over his hands as I did (subconsciously). It was the sweetest thing, because it was the first time I realized just how much kids copy what they see. Ever since, I am hyper aware of my actions around kids and try my best to be a good role model.
