Hi my name is Amira i’m 19 years old soon to be 20 to begin to give some information about myself. i’ve worked in a school senior program in my high school that required us to watch & cater to 3-5 year olds. This program was 2 semester long & This included giving them snacks, helping with bathroom, taking them on trips & outside to the playground & etc. I’ve gradued from that class with an A & perfect attendance. After i graduated high school in the year of 2023 i’ve worked in a daycare for 5 months. I left because i was looking for better hours to work that they could not provide. I currently work in retail & am looking to leave this job. I love kids & would rather work with kids that is what i love doing & have a passion for. I have a lot of free time now that i’m out of college & just looking to leave this job i’m currently at & do something i love. I do have a drivers license & a car & i am available to work any shift
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
i’m young & have a lot of energy myself & i enjoy taking the kids outside to play & keeping them occupied inside as well. I have worked with kids with special needs so i know how to cater to kids that don’t always want to play & just like to sit listen to music or watch tv
The most important part about being a nanny...
Keeping the kid safe & making sure you always watching them. Kids are fast & get into things fast. I wasn’t allowed to have my phone working in my school program & when i babysit i still go by this rule just because anything could happen so fast & i like to be all eyes 24/7
My experience with special needs children...
My little cousin has autism & for a long period of time i watched him while his mother worked. He is very sensitive to noise & change. So i would try to keep him or a regular schedule & let him do things he was comfortable with. He did not like certain foods & it was challenging encouraging him to eat different things but overall we got through everyday & he was happy
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment working in the day care were with the younger kids. They are so sweet & full of energy. I loved teaching them how to ride bikes & blow bubbles. We use to paint & i would read books to them those.
