Hi. My name is Amy and I’m a 53-yr old mom of 3 now-adult children (two boys and one girl), who are my pride and joy! I can attest to the idea that pouring love, kindness, patience, creativity, grace, and discipline into your children as they are growing up pays off in the end, as my 3 children are individuals who are kind and compassionate, hard-working and disciplined human beings. When my youngest child turned 1, I reentered the job force and continued my career as a county caseworker, working part-time for Children and Youth Services the next 12 years, learning how to balance both work and family responsibilities. It’s not easy, amirite!? But we do the best we can and ask God for strength and wisdom along the way. 🙏🏻

I would describe my parenting style as one in which I give a child the freedom to be their unique selves while also providing a nurturing and safe (emotionally and physically) environment which allows them to thrive. ☺️ I’m also an art and animal lover!

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children who are “highly sensitive”, kids with varying degrees of autism, kids who aren’t used to having healthy boundaries, and everything in between! While raising my kids, we had a home to which a lot of the neighborhood kids would gravitate and spend time. My personality is warm, welcoming, inclusive and nurturing while also promoting good, healthy boundaries, as this is the key to healthy relationships! 🤗
