Relevant experience where I also cared for children:
* worked at a daycare center in Jersey City for several years.
* Was in charge of the mom's group child care for a church.
* The mother's from that church group started hiring me to go their houses and take care of their children.
* Which has turned into becoming a nanny for different families all these years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities that I enjoy doing with children are based on the age of the child.
With previous families I have:
* constantly read books to the children
* taken ordinary household items and used them for an activity
* sensory projects
* painting (paint and water)
* scribbles/coloring
* outside play time (weather permitting)
* play dates
* numbers/letters (rice, sand, toy cars, clothes pin)
* I also am constantly researching new activities to try
* I also look at what toys are available in the home that I can quickly turn into a learning activity

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is the connection that you make with the child and the family. To help the parents feel at ease knowing that their child is taken care of appropriately. For the child to help them achieve milestones and provide them with an ongoing support that helps them grow into the best versions of themselves.

I do not have much experience with special needs children, but I am willing to learn whatever is needed to provide the best care possible for the child.
