I’m new to the city, I moved here the beginning of June from Seattle. I’ve always been great with kids, having younger siblings really helped with that. I love art, music, foraging, cooking, and baking! I want to have children of my own in a few years, so being a nanny would be great experience. I’m flexible and go with the flow. The most important part about being a nanny...

The children should be able to have fun and learn while also being safe. They should be able to express themselves, ask for help and questions, and do what makes them happy!

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve babysat kids with ADHD and Autism, I know how difficult it can be for them because I have felt with ADHD myself since I was little, and a few friends/family also have autism. I know how it feels to be different, misunderstood, or even weird. I want to make sure that they know it’s okay to be themselves and not pretend to be something they’re not.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My family friend’s daughter used to despise mushrooms, she’d do anything in her power to get out of eating them. One night while I was babysitting her, we had pizza. On one pizza, pepperoni, the other, mushroom. She saw that I was eating the mushroom pizza, and she made a gross face. I asked her if she wanted one, of course, she said no. I asked if she wanted to grow as tall and strong as I am, and she said yes, so I asked her to at least try one, she ate all of the mushrooms of the slice. A few weeks later, we all had dinner together and there were mushrooms. Her mom couldn’t get her to eat any, and her dad also hates mushrooms. I looked at her across the table and said “remember what I told you about mushrooms and growing big and strong?” And she nodded and started eating them! Her parents were in absolute awe, the were baffled that I was able to get her to eat them. Still cracks me up to this day.
