The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment where a child feels comfortable being themselves. It’s not just about supervising or keeping them busy but about being patient, consistent, and emotionally present. A nanny plays a big role in helping children learn routines, manage their emotions, and feel supported during both good and challenging moments. Building trust with both the child and the family is essential, because when a child feels safe and understood, they are more confident, happy, and able to grow.
My experience with special needs children...
I have no experience with special needs children, but I can learn.
The most important part about being a nanny...
my favorite nanny moment was during an afternoon when the child I cared for was having a rough day and didn’t want to listen or play. Instead of pushing activities, I sat with them and let the calm down at their own pace. We ended up playing a simple game together, and slowly they started laughing and opening up. By the end of the day, they were comfortable, happy, and didn’t want me to leave. That moment meant a lot to me because it showed the trust we built and reminded me how important patience, consistency, and being present really are when working with children.

Babysitter Available in Snellville, GA: Katherine W.
My dream in life is to be a mom, and I would love nothing more than to be prepared for the day I can make that dream come true. I am 16 and soon going into the military, I have a little sister who is 12 and a wonderful niece that just turned 2. I handle kids often, both during work and during my free time. I can cook and clean, and I love adventures.
I don’t have a super flexible schedule, but with the right long term family, I am 100% willing to get that schedule changed with my job.
-Much love, Kate!

Babysitter Available in Snellville, GA: Johana C.
Hi! My name is Johana, and I’m an 18-year-old high school student with a strong passion for working with kids. I’ve been at the same job for five years, and while I’ve loved the experience, I’m now looking for something new that lets me connect more personally with families, especially through childcare. I get along with children very well and always aim to create a fun, safe, and positive environment for them. I also volunteer within my church to teach the Pre-K little ones. I’ll be attending Oglethorpe University soon on the pre-law track, and I’m excited to bring my responsibility, patience, and strong work ethic into a babysitting role. I’d love the opportunity to support your family!
