The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most important parts about being a nanny, is being someone the child(ren) can confide in for comfort and anything else they desire. It makes them feel heard and allows them to feel like a human being and not just a child needing to be watched. Connecting with them makes room for them to grow and learn new skills!
My experience with special needs children...
I have taken care of children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and made it a safe place for their wants to be heard, allowing them to feel comfortable, without upsetting them!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My sweetest nanny moment was when the little boy I was caring for was decorating cards for mother's day and made one for me and called me "nannymom". I thought that was the most adorable thing ever, that's a moment I will never forget.
