I do volunteer work for local places and take care of children whenever someone needs it at an event. Mostly children just come to me at whatever event I’m at and I immediately step in and the parents let me care for their kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Having complete communication not only with the parent but also with the child/children. Parents don’t always pick up on their child’s needs and quirks and child usually tend to have a hard time expressing their wants and needs without feeling frustrated when they aren’t understood so I feel that as the babysitter or nanny, we should be able to help make communication easier.

I have cared for children on the autism spectrum specifically children with ADHD and Autistic Disorder. I used to care for a child with Spastic quadriplegia so physical disabilities are not an issue for me and deafness
The most important part about being a nanny...
The children I was caring for were twin boys around 10 or 11 and for their birthday I threw them a little party since thier parents were working. It was a lot of fun keeping the boys happy and playing around until their parents could make it home. My heart melted when they told their parents it was their best birthday yet. I was glad to create that for them
