A little bit about me

I have been working with children to eventually become a teacher. Preferably highscool, but I have interned at an elementary school and it was pleasant. As one of the youngest members of my family, I’ve Nannied dozens of second cousins and nephews from birth being the youngest and 14 being the oldest (Did I mention I come from a BIG family?). For the past three years I’ve been regulating between 25-40 middle schoolers during the weekday. While also doing Storytime for Birth-5 years old. I specialize in art and baking hobbies. I enjoy video games, watching anime, and pretty relevant with current comics. At the moment I do work both jobs, giving me a weird schedule. But I am of by 5:00pm most Fridays, and Saturdays and off Sundays. I can cook slight meals and can definitely teach little ones how to bake. I see any child as if they were my niece or nephew, and most importantly a little blob of perfection.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Interned at an elementary school as a paraprofessional and counselor assistant. Youth associate at a public library that brings in dozens of middle schoolers that I engage with. As well as work with families, and anyone under the age of 18. For over a decade I nannied my second-cousins, nephews, and friend's children. Storytimer and can tutor math up until about 4th grade.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to do arts and crafts, STEAM, activities, baking, storytelling, and games.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I adore children. I love how they view the world. I love watching them change. I love being apart of that whole process, you know?

My experience with special needs children...

At my internship I did behavior plans with students with special needs. I have two nephews on the spectrum and one with cerebral palsy. You just need patience and a different approach. Try different things until you see what works for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I feel like I'll only be gushing about my nephews, especially the little things. But one particular moment that stood out to me is I took my nephew and god-daughter to a trunk or treat and brought a camera. After awhile they would tell me where they wanted pictures taken. Particularly there was a stationed firetruck there that they were excited about. I had them do whatever poses they wanted. Got some great pictures, especially because my nephew HATES taking serious pictures. My god daughter had just had surgery to and was walking around on her cast, almost running. So, she was able to fight that gloom she usually gets after a procedure.
