HELLO! I live in the Spokane Valley and prefer the Valley but will consider other Spokane locations if a good fit. I would like full time . I am close to retiring but will still be working for 2 years at least.
I am a 64.5 yrs old. Active, happy, and have a passion for caring, nurturing and teaching children. I have two grown daughters. I have experience with children from newborn to 14 yrs old.
My passion is caring for and teaching children and making a positive difference in their lives.
I have worked for CVSD/EVSD and in preschools as a Lead Teacher. I create a preschool setting in- home with reading/writing/spelling/ art and science.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a nanny to two families in my past. I have also worked in the CVSD and EVSD as a supervisor/educational asst. I have been a preschool teacher at 3 different facilities, one being a women/children's rehab center in Browne's Addition. I have worked both live in and live out and at this time prefer to live out as I have my own home.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing daily arts and crafts with children. I love to read to and read with children daily. I love writing poetry and teaching children about haiku and free verse styles. I love to play dress up, I love to dance with them, I love to take walks and play games with them. I am 63 1/2 but have the activity level of a 35 year old, no lie! Children energize me and I need that in my life again.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To make a mark, a difference, an impact on little lives that will grow up to be adults in a crazy messy world with confidence, strength and perseverence to succeed. That is my main goal. That is why I want to return to being a nanny.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with special education classrooms and with autistic and behavior issue children as a lead. Teacher in preschool. I do not have a degree in special education.
