Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have had several different experiences and worked in various settings with children. I have worked in a school setting with students as a student teacher, as well as with students with special needs. I have also worked as a babysitter for multiple families. In addition this I have worked as a swim instructor at a summer camp for kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I definitely enjoy being able to keep children active and outside when possible. I am a certified life guard and swim instructor so I enjoy being able to assist children in learning how to swim. I was also a division 1 runner in college so I love to stay active and think it’s super important for children to have this opportunity. Going to the park, swimming, or going for walks are a few activities I enjoy doing with children I have babysat previously.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked in a school setting with children with special needs. However, I also have personally grown up with a brother who has special needs. Both of these experiences have definitely helped me learn how to better work with children with special needs. My school setting experience has shown me how important it is to meet the needs of all children and support them in anyway possible.
