The most important part about being a nanny...
In 2014, I was driving a FORD SUV with 195,000 miles on it. I knew I needed a new car but I didn't know how this was going to come about. One day, my agency called me and said, "Hey Angie...do you want to do an overnight stay with a 15 yr old teenager for a week?". I said yes, of course. This kid was 15 going on 25...super smart and self aware. I casually told him about my truck and that I was looking for a new vehicle. He said, "I want to take you car shopping". I laughed and said, "no, I want to do whatever you want to do this week." His response? "I want to take you car shopping!" To make a long story short, the 2nd car we looked at is the car I still drive to this day. We also went car shopping for him that week. He was planning on getting a Mercedes when he turned 16. I told him to get an SUV. A year later we were sitting side by side at a stoplight. I was in the car he picked out for me and he was in the Jeep that I told him to get. It was a Godwink moment.
