A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Anita and I simply love being a mom. I have two adult children, ages 24 and 21. I stayed at home with them for eight years. I was also a live-in nanny for one year in college and babysat for several families starting at the age of ten. I love to cook, travel, read, and stay healthy.

I have made the decision to leave the corporate world. I have worked as an Accountant for the past 30 years and it is time for a change. I do not currently have my CPR or First Aid certifications but will obtain those certifications on October 14, 2023.

I enjoy playing at the parks, walking by the lakes, going to art/history museums, apple orchards, children's museum, creating art projects at home, reading to children, encouraging others to use their imaginations, playing games, and anything that is of interest to the children in my care.

Is to love and nurture the children in my care; to encourage them to remain true to themselves, respect themselves and others; and to enjoy and appreciate the world around us.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a nephew with Downs Syndrome. I helped kids with special needs with math homework.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment... I was a nanny for a 6 and 3 year old. They struggled at bath time. I created the "clean monster/dirty monster" concept to help them enjoy getting clean. We made up battles, funny sayings, and laughed and laughed! Sometimes, we got so engrossed in bath time, that an hour slipped away without us knowing. They went from dreading bath time to begging for it. It was loads of fun!
