A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Anna Kittilstved, and I’m a professional nanny with over 10 years of experience caring for children from 3 months to 12 years old. I previously worked as a preschool teacher and at the children’s center at Sacred Heart Medical Center, where I gained valuable experience supporting children’s growth, safety, and development.
I am CPR and First Aid certified and passionate about creating a nurturing, structured, and joyful environment for the children I care for. In addition to nannying, I’m happy to provide in-home learning support such as reading, writing, and early education at no additional cost.
I am open to live-in nanny positions and am comfortable driving for school drop-offs, activities, and errands. Having grown up on a farm in Washington, I value hard work, kindness, and a wholesome upbringing. My Christian faith is an important part of who I am, and I strive to bring patience, warmth, and integrity into every family I work with.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

love creating simple, joyful days that help children learn, grow, and feel confident. I’m especially drawn to the Montessori approach, encouraging independence, curiosity, and hands-on learning through everyday activities.
Some of my favorite things to do with children are reading together, baking, arts and crafts, outdoor play, nature walks, and gentle learning like letters, numbers, and early writing. With my background in fitness and nutrition, I also enjoy helping children stay active with fun movement, games, and healthy snacks we can make together.
I believe childhood should feel warm, wholesome, and full of curiosity, and I strive to create a peaceful environment where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, being a nanny is so much more than childcare. It’s about being someone a child feels safe with, learns from, and has fun with every day. I truly believe the early years of a child’s life are incredibly important, and it’s a privilege to be part of that time.
I love helping children grow in confidence, curiosity, and kindness. Whether we’re reading a book, baking in the kitchen, playing outside, or learning something new, I try to bring a lot of energy, patience, and warmth into the day.
As a young nanny, I bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine love for being around children. My goal is always to create a calm, happy environment where kids feel supported, encouraged to explore, and excited to learn.

My experience with special needs children...

Autistic and Physical Disabilities

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite preschool moments was when a very serious three-year-old marched up to me during circle time, put his hands on his hips, and said, “Anna… I can’t come to school tomorrow.” I asked him why, and he sighed dramatically and said, “Because I have a lot of emails.”
When I asked what kind of emails, he whispered, “Work emails.”
To this day I’m still wondering who was emailing that little guy.

Hello!
I am a college student at Whitworth University! I am looking to take on some extra jobs as college is expensive. I absolutely love kids of all kinds and know how important it is that they are entertained and well cared for while you cannot watch them. I have several years of experience working with kids of all ages, but i do best with younger kiddos. I am adult/infant first aid and CPR certified along with being completely willing to take on the occasional house chore should that be requested.
