More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
This past fall semester at Loyola University Chicago I worked with Loyola For Chicago at the location
Chicago HOPES for kids where we did after school activities every Tuesday and Thursday with the
children living in shelters there. I will continue doing this in the fall as I really enjoyed spending time with the children there and being a reliable person that they could count on coming every week.

The most important part about being a nanny...
is being able to give children a stable and structured yet fun experience while parents are at work or dealing with other necessities. I think it is important to have trust and communication between the children and yourself, but especially with the parents who are letting you look over the most important people in their lives! I love being around children and nannying is as enjoyable for me as I try to make it for the kids.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked at Perspectives (in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota) in high school which was an after school program for mothers in need and their children, who lived on site. Many children struggled with learning disabilities, trauma, or trust issues that our supervisors taught us how to accommodate while I was there. Working with these kids along with my volunteer time at Chicago HOPES for Kids has really taught me how to work with kids
from all different backgrounds, ages, and personality types, and how to be accommodating to
their difficult situations.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Chicago, IL: Payton S.
Hi! My name is Payton. I am a college graduate and am looking for either a full-time or part-time nanny gig, as my schedule is currently very flexible.
As far as childcare experience, when I came to Chicago for college, I cared for a family with three children (aged newborn-4 years w/ one special needs) on a daily basis for about four years. My primary roles with this family included: school drop off, meals (2-3 a day), outdoor activities, arts and crafts, getting the children down for naps, housekeeping (dishes, vacuuming, etc.), school pick up, and any other day to day tasks that needed completion. Following my college graduation, I worked for the Goddard School before my move to Indiana, where I spent another year teaching at a low income, special needs preschool.
I just relocated to Chicago to be closer to my sister, so my schedule is currently very open and can be accommodated to almost anything you are looking for, thank you! :-)
